Wells Fargo Exec to Exit as Wirehouse ‘Streamlines’ Management

John Alexander, the head of the regional network for Wells Fargo Wealth and Investment Management’s client relationship group, is leaving the wirehouse after more than two decades. The move is also in keeping with the wirehouse’s effort to cut $10 billion in costs, said Craig Kilgallen director of relationship development at FUSE Research Network. “Consolidating the upper management is certainly a way of cutting costs there,” Kilgallen said. “It also ties into … really being able to make sure that you can be attentive to your client base and deliver to them all the capabilities of your firm in a seamless way, rather than having all these kinds of different parts and reporting up into different people.”
