Thornburg Investment Management last week launched two new actively-managed separately managed account strategies that consider material environmental, social and governance factors. Thornburg’s launch comes amid a backlash against ESG and scrutiny over “greenwashing,” but the firm’s focus on materiality could potentially change the conversation, said Craig Kilgallen, a relationship manager at FUSE Research, which counts Thornburg as a client.
