Advisors are increasingly turning to model portfolios in order to bolster their value proposition as clients demand more financial planning services, according to a recent Natixis investment Managers survey. “I think folks have realized that in order to compete in today’s world, particularly if they want to have more higher-net-worth type of clients, you need to offer more services than just the investment management,” said Craig Kilgallen, director of relationship development at FUSE Research Network. “One way to do that is by using these professionally created model portfolios to do the investment side … that frees you up.”
