LPL Upgrades SMA, UMA Platforms in Push to Lure High-End Advisors

LPL Financial is sprucing up its separately managed account and unified managed account platforms to bolster efforts to attract advisors serving wealthy clients. Building out an SMA platform that can negotiate down fees is “one of the first things they would need to do” to compete in the high-net-worth space, said Pat Newcomb, a relationship manager at FUSE Research.
