KKR certainly may benefit from a “second mover advantage” in this instance, with Clarion having paved the way somewhat, introducing the concept to the market, says Jeff Strange, relationship manager at FUSE Research Network. “It does give you a step up in terms of getting into the market with your vehicle and gives advisors a point of reference,” he says. “With some of these products, if there is just one on the market, there may be concern from advisors to use it.”
