More investment managers are either adding interval funds to their existing lineups or entering the space for the first time. The most popular asset classes within interval funds are real estate, which had $18.8 billion in assets as of 2022, and private and structured credit, which had $16 billion, according to recent data from FUSE Research Network. “I think those that are going to be given an advantage from a competitive perspective are those who have been established in the marketplace in terms of running these strategies,” said Neil Bathon, managing partner at FUSE.
