- Over the past year, asset managers have sharply increased their use of generative AI (GenAI) for distribution and enablement tasks, according to a FUSE and The SME Forum survey.
- The most common uses involve summarizing long documents and drafting or editing emails. Document summarization rose from 56% of firms in 2024 to 91% in 2025, while email drafting jumped from 36% to 91% over the same period. More firms are also using GenAI to create or edit content, find internal information, and take meeting notes.
- However, adoption remains limited for more complex initiatives such as synthesizing data from multiple sources, generating reports, and segmenting advisors.
