CIT Assets on the Rise

  • CIT assets have nearly doubled to $5 trillion as of 3Q25, up from $2.5 trillion in 3Q20, reflecting a 15% five-year CAGR.
  • The Allocation category has led growth, posting 25% and 18% CAGRs over the past three and five years, respectively, driven largely by sustained target-date fund demand.
  • U.S. and International Equity also delivered strong AUM gains from net inflows and market appreciation. U.S. Equity generated 21% and 17% three- and five-year CAGRs, while International Equity achieved 15% and 20%, respectively.
  • FUSE projects continued momentum in 2026, with CIT assets expected to rise 11% to $5.7 trillion, supported by lower operating and management costs driving DC plan adoption.
