At FUSE, Owen is responsible for contributing to the full suite of Market Intelligence Platform offerings, which include topic briefs, competitive intelligence updates, and trend monitoring. He is an experienced asset management professional with a diverse background in product management, primary/secondary research, investment manager analysis, and consulting.

Most recently, Owen helped to establish a third-party distribution firm focused on marketing small asset managers to professional buyer teams at national and regional broker-dealers. Prior to his distribution stint, Owen served as a Senior Product Manager within the Advisory Resources Group at MFS Investment Management. There he served as the investment product expert for the firm’s retail asset allocation (target-risk and target-date) and quantitatively managed mutual funds and separately managed accounts.

Owen began his career as a research analyst at Financial Research Corporation in Boston, MA. As analyst, Owen acted as the main contact for several of FRC’s largest clients to conduct primary research on competitor and industry product development, pricing and fee trends, strategic marketing ideas, and distribution trends. He was one of the primary authors of the FRC study World of Opportunity in International Funds: Changes in Advisor Usage of International Products, as well as a contributing author of Advisor Insights: Wholesaler Effectiveness. Owen went on to serve as Director of Managed Accounts and Alternatives, responsible for overseeing FRC’s research and consulting efforts in the separately managed account, exchange-traded fund, and alternative product categories.

Owen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in economics and international relations from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He is a Level II candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
